Bedico Creek Preserve Enjoys New Home Sales Increase in March and April
New home sales rose 1.5% in March, 2013, as the real estate markets in the Northeast and South reporting the highest numbers. These two regions are also the most active regions in the United States. The Northeast is reporting a 19.4% increase in new home sales activity while the South trumps that with a 20.6 increase.
In St. Tammany Parish, Bedico Creek Preserve has 11 lots sold or under contract in March and April. Also, 2 of our builders have sold 2 homes in the last two months as well. This subdivision in Madisonville, Louisiana has enjoyed a momentous comeback from originally having a golf course community master plan to becoming a completely “made-over” master planned Conservation Community. Here at Bedico Creek, we have just introduced a new neighborhood featuring 3+ acre lots called Audubon Way. Responding to our interested home buyer’s requests for more land, we were able to combine some of our lots to create large, spacious lots, perfect for either a home with a lot of square footage or a homesite with a lot of land!
According to NAHB Chief Economist David Crowe, the housing market, in general, is about halfway back to where it was before the recession. Rick Judson, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a home builder from Charlotte, N.C. says, “This is the second-best sales number we’ve seen since early 2010, and a good sign of the continued, gradual headway that our industry is making toward recovery as more buyers jump off the fence in time to take advantage of today’s low interest rates and prices.”
At our community, we have definitely enjoyed a stronger real estate market, and we have also enjoyed all of our happy home buyers who came out and rediscovered one of St. Tammany Parish’s best subdivisions. We are located just north of Madisonville. Click here for directions to come visit us today. Or, you can Contact Us at 985-845-4200 or by E-mail at [email protected].
